Savoury Seed Crackers

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds

  • ½ cup flaxseed

  • ½ cup chia seeds

  • 2 cups water

  • Seasoning to taste (e.g. pepper, salt, chili flakes, fennel seeds...)

Method:

  • Add all the ingredients, apart from the seasoning, into a large bowl and mix.

  • Allow to rest for 20 minutes until a gluey/gel-like texture is formed.

  • Preheat the oven to 150ºC and prepare a baking tray with baking parchment.

  • Spread the mix out thinly onto the baking tray.

  • Add your seasoning of choice on top.

  • Bake in the oven for around 40-50 minutes, until crispy.

  • Remove the crackers from the oven and allow to cool.

  • Break into pieces (the more uneven the better!).

  • Enjoy! The crackers keep in an air-tight container for around a week.

  • Protein: ~87 g

  • Fat: ~184 g

  • Total carbohydrates: ~129 g

  • Fibre: ~70 g

As the crackers break up unevenly, it is impossible to give the accurate nutritional information per cracker, so once you've made your batch and have your exact number, just divide the values above by the number of crackers to find your values!
